Merry Missmass!!

We've had one of the best christmases we could have asked for this year.

We spent it with family & friends.  

Snuggling on the sofa watching Home Alone & Happy Feet, with Ruby repeating her brand new {and favourite} phrase... 'Merry Missmass!'

Not to mention eating way more food than I thought was possible!

A huge thank you to everyone for their cards and gifts for Ruby, she was one spoilt little lady and we had an total blast!

Hope you all had a lovely time with your families and that your ready for next year!

Autumn Walks

We had a long weekend.  One of the longest we've had in a while.

It started with a lovely trip to Yarm.  We visited our lovely friends and stayed the weekend.

First stop was to the park to feed the ducks and we took advantage of the gorgeous Autumn colours and had a little shoot with the beautiful Amelie.

Ruby loved spending time with Amelie!  There were lots of hugs, kisses and following.

Where ever Amelie went, Ruby was only a few steps behind giggling...

I also got to meet the super lovely Marna from Little A Designs.

Her family are beautiful and we had a little product shoot too!

My shoot finished around 12pm and we had a special first birthday party to attend at 2pm...

...In Edinburgh.

I don't know what were were thinking, but with Sunday drivers, bad traffic & a grumpy baby we were never gonna make it on time.  But we got there (really late) we missed the cake & the dancing but we loved seeing Aaron!  

HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY AARON!!

Aaron and Ruby are going to be best friends when they are older, just like me and his mummy...

It was a knackering end to a long weekend it wouldn't take a genius to work out we would all be knackered the next day and I'd have worlds grumpiest child on my hands.  

Surprisingly she was full of beans and happy to be spending time in her own home, with her favourite rabbit and bossing Poppy cat around when she woke up.

Happy Daddy Day

 Every girl loves her daddy.  

They make everything better & give those big hugs that mama sometimes cant manage.

They can open all the jars.  Reach the top shelfs.  

Glue together that broken toy.  Tell you the best bedtime stories.

Tuck you in the best.  Look best in the pink tiara.

Ruby is so lucky to have you as a daddy.  

I remember how scared you were, before she was born.

& then I remember how perfectly you done everything,

And the look on your face with every little mile stone she hit. 

The first time you bathed her.

The first time she looked at you.

The first time she smiled at you.

The first time she said Dad.

I remember the look on your face the first time you picked her up.

That 5:30am bed head that you love!

You make us both smile!

We hope you had a wonderful first fathers day.

Baby Jars?

Its been a busy busy week here in the Stewart household. 

We are still going with Ruby's 365 photos... 

We normally make a lot of Ruby's food ourselves, or babyfy (is that a word? I think it should be now, I kind of like it), but since we have been so busy, its been jars, jars, jars!

So, we thought we'd make a few little pretties using them!

What you will need:  

Some jars of course!  Scissors, glue dots (or a glue gun), some yummy craft tape, some pretty ribbon, markers, a selection of papers and stick on diamonds & some cute shaped hole punches.

We started by choosing some pretty polka paper, cutting it to cover the jar, 

& punching some lovely love hearts along the bottom, a little bit of white ribbon

& taaaaadddaaaa....

A gorgeous little jar for those hand picked posies :)

Now, if you have a good imagination, you can make any number of things!

We made a pencil/pen holder to keep my desk all lovely and neat.

Simple brown paper and a few diamonds and we have a lovely tea light holder,  how gorgeous would something so pretty and simple be for a wedding table?

or just one piece of ribbon around a teeny jam jar and it looks so cute!

You can even use them for organising your crafty things, 

like ribbons & my favourite... 

Buttons, keep them all in order by colour!
